Course Overview

The American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider course prepares healthcare professionals to recognize life-threatening emergencies and respond with confidence. Participants learn high-quality CPR, AED use, choking relief, and effective team-based response for adult, child, and infant patients.

As part of Falcon CPR Training’s commitment to community safety, every student receives a FREE box of Narcan Nasal Spray (2 doses) upon registration.

Who This Course Is For

Designed for healthcare providers and healthcare students, including nurses, nursing students, physicians, medical and dental assistants, and physical or occupational therapists.

Certification

  • American Heart Association BLS Provider certification

  • Valid for 2 years

  • Covers Adult, Child, and Infant CPR/AED

  • AHA eCard issued the same day

  • Falcon CPR Training is an official American Heart Association Training Site

Course Materials

  • Current AHA BLS Provider Manual is required

  • Manual is included with registration or available for purchase

  • If you already own the current manual, please bring it to class

Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED (Blended Learning Course)

If you are a healthcare provider or healthcare student, please register for our Basic Life Support (BLS) course instead, as this course does not meet clinical CPR requirements.

Course Overview

This blended learning course teaches you how to recognize and respond to first aid, breathing, and cardiac emergencies for infants, children, and adults. It’s ideal for parents, babysitters, childcare providers, teachers, coaches, and workplace responders — and it meets OSHA/workplace requirements.

As part of our commitment to community safety, every student receives a FREE box of Narcan Nasal Spray (2 doses) and a FREE CPR Keychain breathing barrier.

Certification

Upon successful completion, you will receive a 2-year American Red Cross Adult & Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED digital certificate, issued the same day as your in-person skills session.

Course Format

This is a blended learning course, consisting of:

1. Online Portion (must be completed before class)

  • Approx. 2.5 hours to complete

  • Self-paced and completed at home on your computer or tablet

2. In-Person Skills Session

  • Approx. 1.5 hours

  • Hands-on CPR, AED, and first aid skills practice for all age groups

Both portions must be completed to earn certification.

Certification

Upon successful completion, you will receive a 2-year American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED digital certificate, issued the same day as your in-person session.

Course Format

This is a blended learning course, which includes:

  • Self-paced, done at home on your computer or tablet

2. In-Person Skills Session

American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) – Blended Course (r.25)

This blended learning course is designed for healthcare providers and public safety professionals who are required to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and value training that prioritizes precision, teamwork, and confident clinical performance.

Participants complete a self-paced online learning component followed by an in-person, instructor-led skills session focused on hands-on practice and coordinated team response. The course prepares professionals to recognize and respond effectively to cardiac and respiratory emergencies involving adult, child, and infant patients.

Training follows the American Red Cross BLS curriculum (r.25) and current evidence-based guidelines. Instruction emphasizes high-quality CPR, clear role communication, efficient team dynamics, and effective ventilation—skills that directly influence patient outcomes in real-world healthcare environments.

What You’ll Learn

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants

  • Safe and effective AED use

  • Team-based resuscitation and defined role responsibilities

  • Ventilation using barrier devices and bag-valve masks

  • Recognition and management of life-threatening cardiac and respiratory emergencies

Course Format

Blended Learning Structure

Online Portion

  • Must be completed before the in-person skills session

  • Self-paced (allow up to approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes; time may vary)

  • Requires a PC or tablet with reliable internet access

In-Person Skills Session

  • Approximately 3 hours

  • Instructor-led, hands-on skills verification and scenario-based practice

Certification

Upon successful completion of both components, participants receive an American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) digital certification, valid for two years. Certification cards are issued the same day as the skills session.

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Certification Course (Blended Learning)

Become a certified American Red Cross Instructor and learn how to confidently teach life-saving First Aid, CPR, and AED courses to your community. This blended learning program combines online coursework, hands-on skills practice, and in-person teaching sessions designed to prepare you for real-world instruction.


Who This Course Is For

This course is designed for individuals who want to teach Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED classes. Whether you're looking to train workplace teams, support your organization, or expand your professional opportunities, this course provides the skills, confidence, and certification you need.

Prerequisites (All Required)

To participate, you must:

  • Hold a current American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or higher equivalent).

  • Be at least 16 years old on the final day of the course.

  • Complete all online prework before attending in-person sessions.

  • Have access to the Instructor Manual, available digitally through the Red Cross Learning Center or as a printed version through the Red Cross Store.

(Instructor candidates who arrive without completing the prerequisites will not be able to continue training.)

Course Format

This is a blended learning course consisting of:

  • Online prework completed before your first class session

  • Skills practice and classroom activities

  • Instructor-level teaching practice and evaluation

All online content must be completed before attending the classroom portion.

Certification

Upon successful completion, you will receive your American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, issued the same day. This certification authorizes you to teach basic-level First Aid, CPR, and AED courses.

Injuries involving severe bleeding can occur anywhere and at any time. Being prepared to respond as a first responder is crucial. Our comprehensive course is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize life-threatening bleeding and take immediate action.

Throughout this course, you will learn three essential emergency bleeding control techniques that can make a significant difference in saving lives:

  1. Proper Pressure Application: You will be trained in the correct application of pressure to control bleeding effectively.

  2. Wound Packing: Learn the proper technique for packing wounds to staunch the flow of blood and stabilize the injured individual.

  3. Tourniquet Application: Gain valuable knowledge on how to apply a tourniquet appropriately, a potentially life-saving skill in critical situations.

By the end of this course, you'll be well-prepared to respond to bleeding injuries and provide immediate assistance when it matters most. You have the power to save a life, and our training can make that difference.
