American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Certification Course (Blended Learning)

This blended learning program combines online coursework, hands-on skills practice, and in-person teaching sessions designed to prepare you for real-world instruction.

Prerequisites (All Required)
To participate, you must:

Hold a current American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification (or higher equivalent).

Be at least 16 years old on the final day of the course.

Complete all online prework before attending in-person sessions.

Have access to the Instructor Manual, available digitally through the Red Cross Learning Center or as a printed version through the Red Cross Store.
(Instructor candidates who arrive without completing the prerequisites will not be able to continue training.)
Course Format
This is a blended learning course consisting of:

Online prework completed before your first class session

Skills practice and classroom activities

Instructor-level teaching practice and evaluation
All online content must be completed before attending the classroom portion.
Certification
Upon successful completion, you will receive your American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, issued the same day. This certification authorizes you to teach basic-level First Aid, CPR, and AED courses.
